Tasuke Kanamaru, an illustrator of ornithology, disappears on the Izu Peninsula, and his remains are found far away, at the Kannon Cape in Niigata Prefecture. Mr Mikawa, a detective and editor-in-chief of the bird-specialist magazine Bird, investigates. This detective novel explores the mystery of a disappeared painter and the trajectory of migratory birds.
